Afterwards, his class received their awards. Jason got “Excellent in Math,” “Superior in Reading,” the Art Award and was voted “Best Manners” by his classmates, which is very true (when he is at school, lol). We were also told about the SRI (Scholastic Reading Inventory) levels. If a child goes up 100 points from the beginning of the year to the end of the year, that is doing good. His SRI level jumped 217 points!
Monday we found out about his EOG scores, which will determine if a child passes, fails or has to go to summer school. It is graded on a scale of 1-5. Turns out Jason got a 5 in Reading and 4 in Math, but he was only 5 points (1 or 2 questions) from having a 5 in Math too! That’s my smart little man. :) On to the forth grade.
